2024 Education Programs
Dirigo Theatre Company is dedicated to the growth and development of the individual creative in a variety of disciplines. Our Education Programs are taught by professional theater makers with years of experience in their fields.
Here at DTC, we also believe that finances should not be an obstacle for exposure to the arts, particularly when it comes to education. That is why for each of our Workshops and Classes we offer a Reduced Tuition Program and Payment Plan Options for those families who may not be able to budget for this additional expense. Also know that any discussions surrounding finances and tuition assistance are completely confidential.
All Classes & Workshops require a deposit to hold a place in the class, your registration will not be complete until a deposit is made. The deposit is non-refundable and is deducted from your remaining tuition balance which is due on the first day of class.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
There are so many different techniques used by actors of all sorts at varying levels. This class is an introduction to a variety of techniques that will allow each student to pick and choose which works best for them. Techniques include: Meisner, Chekov, Viola Spolin, Stella Adler, Stanislavski, and Modern Acting. The class culminates into a final presentation which family and friends are invited to attend.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Directing is an extremely difficult task, from pre-production to auditions, to rehearsals, the director is responsible for overseeing the process, working with producers, designers, and actors. This workshop is designed for directors of all skill levels, filled with tips and tricks, tools and covers developing a vision, audition process, casting choices, directing a cohesive piece, and more.

CLASS DESCRIPTION
Intro to Theatre is a class designed for middle school students to learn the basics of theatre. During this class we will cover Stage Presence, Stage Direction and Storytelling Basics. This class will require students to get up, move around and play tons of theatre games! This class culminates into a final presentation which family and friends are invited to attend.
